Current Position
I am currently the Program Manager for the Opticianry program at Hillsborough Community College, Tampa, Florida.
Education
I received my Associate degree in Opticianry from Erie Community College, Buffalo, New York back in 1973. I have since earned my Bachelor's and Master’s degree in CTE Education from the University of South Florida.
Professional Tidbits
My professional credentials include being an American Board of Opticianry certified Master Optician and licensed in the states of New York and Florida.
I have been very active in Opticianry organizations for many years promoting formal education for Opticians. My involvement has allowed me to become a Fellow of the National Academy of Opticianry, an Honored Fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America, and current President of the National Federation of Opticianry Schools. I also lecture frequently at state and national meetings.
